Local Information

White Nothe – White Nothe – A rugged rock with a landslip of upper greensand and chalk. Stands in the middle is a huge bed of Kimmeridge Clay. The clay is in layers of shale and can easily be split, you may find some crushed ammonites and other fossils. Close to White Nothe the clay stops, here you could look amongst the Cretaceous rocks that litter the shore and often fossils can be found here.
